Coach Kern is a native of Royersford, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Villanova University in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Criminology and Psychology, where she also competed as a Division I softball player. Following graduation, she relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, and earned her teaching certification through Teachers of Tomorrow.

Coach Kern currently serves as a Special Education Resource Teacher at Carolina Park Elementary School. She is passionate about helping students grow both academically and personally, while developing young athletes through the game of softball.

Outside of work, Kern enjoys coaching, walking on the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
