WANDO FOOTBALL DEFEATS MAY RIVER ON HALL OF FAME NIGHT

It was a special night at District 2 Stadium as Wando celebrated Hall of Fame Night and the Warriors delivered on the field with a 33-20 victory over May River, improving to 2-0 on the season.

Wando controlled the game with a powerful rushing attack, piling up 230 yards on the ground. Jake Glassberg scored twice while rushing for 57 yards on 16 carries, while Ryan Jahn made an impact both rushing and receiving, finishing with 73 receiving yards and a touchdown along with 43 yards on the ground. Quarterback C. Whittaker threw for 98 yards and a touchdown.

The evening also served as a celebration of Wando Athletics history, as members of the inaugural Wando Athletics Hall of Fame class were recognized before kickoff.

With the 33-20 win, the Warriors moved to 2-0 and now turn their attention to the annual rivalry matchup with Lucy Beckham.
